Privacy

The short version

• Your videos are deleted 7 days after you upload them.
• Your videos and transcripts are never used to train AI models, by us or by anyone we send them to.
• We only use the services listed below, and only to run Saytrim.
• We do not sell your data.

Who we are

Saytrim is operated by Abdullah Moiz, an individual based in Lahore, Pakistan. Abdullah Moiz is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. Saytrim has no registered company.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google when you sign in.
• Your content: the videos you upload, the previews and exports we make from them, the transcript, and the messages you send to the editor.
• Usage: how many video minutes you use, your plan, and basic technical logs such as errors.
• Payments: handled by Paddle. We see your plan, country and payment status. We never see your full card number.

How long we keep it

Videos, and the previews and exports made from them, are deleted 7 days after upload. A cleanup job runs every day to make sure of it.

Account details and usage records stay until you delete your account. Records we must keep for tax and accounting stay as the law requires.

Who handles your data

We use a small set of processors. Each one only gets what it needs for its job.

• Cloudflare: hosting our website and storing your video files (R2 storage).
• Groq: turns speech into text and runs the AI that plans your edits. We use the paid API tier, which does not train on your data.
• Neon: our database (accounts, projects, edit history).
• Paddle: merchant of record. Takes payments, handles VAT and sends invoices.
• Mailgun: sends the emails we owe you, such as a welcome note or an export that is ready.
• Sentry: error reports, so we can fix bugs. We configure it not to collect personal details.
• Langfuse: records the steps and cost of each AI run so we can debug it and keep costs low. These traces can include parts of your transcript and your chat messages.

AI and your content

We only send your content to AI providers on paid plans that do not train on it. We do not use free tiers for your data. Your content is never used to improve any model.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you at any time. You can delete your videos yourself whenever you like, without waiting 7 days. If you are in the EU, UK or California you also have the rights your local law gives you, such as objecting to processing or moving your data.

To use any of these, email support@saytrim.com. We answer data requests (access, correction, deletion) within 30 days.

To delete your account, use "Request account deletion" in Settings. We delete your account and all data within 7 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting.

Children

Saytrim is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 16. If you think a child has given us data, email support@saytrim.com and we will delete it.

Cookies

We use one sign-in cookie so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising cookies.

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.

Changes and contact

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it applies.
